Footsies
Footsies are animation clips representing rhythmic body motion (ex: dance) to help feel and discover the various rhythmic levels in a song or piece. These footsie clips are integrated in the MusicNovatory interactive music encyclopedia, as examples, to help understand and better feel Rhythm.

Clips
There is no better way to start than to move with it, and with a bit of training and orientation, this can soon be a rewarding experience. As nothing seemed to exist in the field, inspired by dancing "steps" but focusing on the rhythmic structure, the MusicNovatory team created Footsies and a TelepathMedia team produced the animations.

Next Generation
While these clips are designed for the specific purpose of representing basic rhythmic concepts, a new series is brewing up, with new songs and animation. Subscribe to remain informed.

Materials & Transformations
The current MusicNovatory Footsies can be grouped by the chapters they belong to, in the "Rhythm" volume, either "Basic Materials" or "Transformations". While "Basic Materials" introduces basic binary rhythmic samples, "Transformations" introduce ternary, odd, and compound rhythmic levels.
